Mike is a relative newcomer to the landscape industry, but has a long history as a commercial real estate broker for such firms as Colliers International and Prudential CRES Commercial Real Estate, where he was recognized as a consistent top performer and was awarded membership into Prudential’s “Leading Edge Society” for his profitability and success. In addition to brokerage, Mike was the principal in a startup HOA property management company which he helped build into a recognized Phoenix Book of Lists top 20 firm, ultimately selling the company to his partners in 2009. For the past 7 years, Mike was the Director of Marketing & Corporate Partnerships for a boutique software company specializing in corporate branding platforms and custom solutions within commercial real estate, saving the second-largest commercial firm in the world (Jones Lang LaSalle) an estimated $1.7M over a 2 year span.

As a former defensive line captain for Brigham Young University-Idaho in the mid 90’s, Mike is steeped in team science. He believes that so much more can be accomplished through team channels than through personal achievement. Mike feels that work should be a joy, not drudgery, and he is committed to finding the deeper meaning in all the work that he does as well as helping others share his vision.

In addition to his professional career, Mike has a strong social consciousness. Through his work as a board member with the Arizona Supreme Court’s Foster Care Review program he is able to facilitate positive change in many children’s lives. In his personal time, Mike enjoys honing his talents as a formally-trained classical pianist as well as playing in a local cover band duo “Wheat & Rich.”
